Youth Assembly at the United Nations
Youth Assembly at the United Nations was initiated by the Friendship Ambassador Foundation, a non-governmental organization affiliated to the United Nations, and jointly sponsored by the United Nations Information Agency and the Friendship Ambassador Foundation. It was supported by the World Federation of United Nations Associations, UNESCO, and the United Nations Children's Fund It is a world-wide youth conference strongly supported by organizations such as the United Nations Environment Program and the United Nations Friendship Council. The conference is held every August at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, USA, attracting more than a thousand young people (aged 18-26) from more than 100 countries and regions around the world to participate. The purpose of the conference is to build a platform for friendly exchanges among young people from all over the world, so that young people from all over the world can deepen friendship and exchange cultures with each other.
